The procedure is the same in all of the cleaning methods, put cleaner in the pets ears, massage and wipe with cotton balls. The Vinegar, alcohol or peroxide method should not be used if the ears are sore or ulcerated, as it will sting.

After cleaning the pet’s ears, then a regiment of corn oil or mineral oil can be started. Almond oil or olive oil mixed with vitamin E can also be used, 1/2 once of the almond or olive oil to 400 IU of vitamin E. The oil should be put into the pet’s ears . As with the cleaning, the pet’s ears are then massaged. Apply every other day for six days, then skip 3 days and repeat for 6 wks. The oil treatment smothers the mites and helps with healing.

Yellow dock root extract is yet another option. 1TBS of water should be mixed with a few (9) drops of yellow dock root extract. Continue this treatment every two days, until all the pets ears are mite free.

Yet another method is by crushing 4 garlic cloves in a cup of olive oil, steep over night. In the morning discard the garlic, heat the oil to it is warm to the touch and place in pets ears and massage. This treatment should be done for a month.
